Monsoon is here! JW Kitchen has created a special ‘Rain Soaked Sunday Brunch’ and it’s full of choices between comfort food and gourmet dishes 🙂 Sundays are an opportunity to unwind with some delicious food and some freshly brewed beer. What’s probably the biggest let-down of a Buffet spread is that the food is almost always cold. This brunch however turns things around by coming up with several live counters. You could walk up to any of the Live counters and place your order, it will be delivered hot, to your table. This way, you’re always enjoying the food, the way it’s supposed to be ; hot!
I absolutely commend the efforts put in by Executive Sous Chef Mr. Shrikant Parashar and his team. The live counters setup attribute to the success of the Brunch.
The live counters that are available are :
1. Okonomiyaki
2. Egg Station!
3. Dabeli and Kebabs
4. Chaat
5. Pasta
6. Bangers & Mash
7. Sushi
I loved all the live counters, but personally, the Egg Station counter made me the happiest, which dished out some amazing Omelettes like Cheese and Onion, Masala and of course Shakshouka.
The Chaats are recipes from one of the in-house chefs who hails from West Bengal. So, most of the styles are what you would see in Kolkata. Also, I believe the Dabeli which had it’s own counter could have been added to the Chaat counter. It was super yummy and I had a couple of them 🙂
Okonomiyaki , a Japanese savory pancake translates to “grilled the way you like”. You could have it topped with the meat of your preference.
Pasta counter has a lot of interesting options. But my favorite would have to be the Lamb Ravioli.
Seeing a live Sushi counter on a Sunday Brunch is usually unheard of and I’d have to say that this was the busiest counter, keeping the chef on his toes!
Along with the Omelettes, don’t forget to ask for your choice of Pork/chicken Sausages, served on a bed of Mashed Potatoes from the Bangers & Mash counter.
Apart from the live counters, you would surely have a huge array of Desserts to choose from, after you’ve had some main course, if you’ve got some space in your bellies after all the delicious food from the live counters.
While you’re having your brunch, you could have some of the fine mock-tails from the bar near the Eggs counter and letting your kids play at the kids arena.
The kids arena has all the favorite treats like popcorn, fries, cupcakes etc, keeping your kids engaged 🙂
You could also request the staff to serve you some freshly brewed beer from the Spice Terrace upstairs!
I happened to attend what is probably the 2nd last Sunday of this special Brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the brunch. So, please try your best to attend the Brunch this Sunday, 16-Sep-2018.
